Hi, I’m Tina.

Area Rug Co. is a woman-owned small business that is located in Birmingham, Michigan. I opened Area Rug Co. to share my passion for area rugs with you!  My goal is simple: I strive to be the best area rug creative expert you will ever work with by offering uncompromising personalized customer service in store or online. I have carefully selected modern, stylish, well-designed rugs that are available to complete and cozy up your space.

My love for area rugs is nothing new. My family and I opened our first area rug specialty store in Ontario, Canada more than 10 years ago. Since then, we have grown from one localized store to five large showrooms. Since 2010, we have assisted greater than 70,000 clients find the perfect area rug for their home. Along the way, we have designed and produced more than 50 rug collections that has been inspired by the wants and needs of our clients. I am now a Michigander with a loving husband and a beautiful baby daughter who is excited to share my passion for rugs with our community!

I have traveled the world to thoughtfully curate our rug collections! My experience with rugs has led me to being featured on television, radio, and print media in Canada.
